Christopher J. Westgate
Ph.D.,
Chair
A media scholar, college professor, spiritual activist, brother, son, and dog dad. His path to New Thought began in high school with Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson and continued through college and graduate school. While he was raised as a Roman Catholic and has traversed various religious and spiritual paths, he feels closest to God in nature. The idea of oneness is consonant with his approach to the law of attraction. Additionally, he finds ways to put Toltec principles from The Four Agreements into practice every day with his students, colleagues, family, friends, and dog. Chris’s hobbies include reading, writing, cooking, gardening, meditating, practicing yoga, working out, listening to music, watching film, traveling, going to farm-to-table restaurants, and virtually anything outdoors—hiking, kayaking, cycling, swimming, and camping. Indeed, he loves that CSL Southcoastal Massachusetts TC has many of its warm-weather ceremonies at our beautiful South Coast beaches, from Marion to Westport. Chris has been the chair of the Southcoastal Massachusetts TC’s Leadership Council since its founding in 2019.

I was introduced to Science Mind when I was introduced to Barbara Fuyat through a mutual friend. I was definitely intrigued by this philosophy. As I learned more about Ernest Holmes and his teaching, the more it resonated with my life. I am drawn to the diversity of the services, recognizing the importance nature plays by celebrating the seasonal solstices, learning how our thoughts manifest our worlds, and being in the moment. Attending services allows me to feel at peace, it is a true sense of being at home with myself and those around me.
I joined the leadership circle in 2020 and am the coordinator of design.
Deborah Fleet
Social Justice
Debbie Fleet has been a participating member of Centers of Spiritual Living since 2010. Debbie joined CSL in the South Coastal region in 2021 and currently serves as the coordinator of the Social Justice and Community Outreach Ministry.

In 2006 Debbie earned a Master's degree from Rhode Island College in Social Work. Her interest in social work developed after leading the development of a community garden for the residents of the Washington Park community. During this time Debbie served on the board of directors for a non-profit organization “Project Outreach”, identifying and serving the needs of the residents in South Providence.

After achieving her master's degree Debbie became a case manager with the Providence Center meeting clients in their homes and communities. She then moved on to become an outpatient clinician and supervisor serving children and families with their mental health needs. In 2016 she began work at The Inner You Counseling Center, Warwick RI, serving children, couples, and families. In 2019 Debbie established her private practice currently working with adults and couples in Rhode Island.
Suzy Herron
Community Outreach
Suzy Herron has been an enthusiast for the powers of prayer and gratitude for as long as she can remember. In her early teens, she read a Bible verse, Mark 11:24: “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” This verse awakened a curiosity about the power of thoughts and beliefs. Ever since, Suzy has been a passionate seeker of Divine guidance and wisdom, believing that the path to inner joy is paved with kindness, courage, gratitude, and faith.
Suzy is a certified Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher through the McLean Meditation Institute and a certified Reiki practitioner. She is motivated to share her passion for meditation and mindfulness to help others tap into their gifts and overcome the obstacles in their lives that may be blocking true, authentic happiness.
Linda Lindamood
Treasurer
Linda, a former food technologist, speech pathologist and caregiver for her grandsons, has lived in New York, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota and Texas.
After moving to Rhode Island, she discovered a nearby center for Spiritual Living and found a spiritual philosophy that matched what she had come to believe: That we are all one and that there are many paths to Spirit.
Linda believes that curiosity never retires and enjoys being outdoors where she feels closest to Spirit, gardening, traveling, reading, cooking, volunteering at a food pantry, attempting to become an impressionist painter and working as treasurer for the Center for Spiritual Living South Coastal Massachusetts Teaching Chapter.
